Box Blight & Box Tree Caterpillar Damage

This box hedge had sadly been devastated by box tree caterpillar, leaving the plants heavily damaged, brown and beyond a worthwhile recovery.

The affected box plants were removed, along with the dead and damaged growth, leaving the gravel bed and surrounding paving clean and tidy again.

🌿 Paddock Clearance with a Purpose! 🐴🐑

A recent paddock clearance has gone from an overgrown meadow and fire risk to a much more manageable space — and, rather than simply treating all the grass cuttings as waste, we were able to give the green material to a local rescue Farm St Margaret's Meadow St Margaret’s Meadow Farm .

It’s great to know that what would otherwise have been waste can be put to good use and appreciated by the animals. 🐑🐴🌱

A big part of what we do at Together Green Gardening Services is finding more environmentally friendly ways to deal with garden and green waste wherever possible.

Another clearance completed — and a little less waste going to disposal. 💚

A recent lawn restoration in Hagley. 🌱

Rather than scalping this overgrown lawn, I gradually reduced the height over several cuts. This protects the grass, reduces stress, and encourages a healthier, greener lawn. Sometimes the best results come from taking the right approach—not the quickest one. 💚

🌱 Don't scalp your lawn!

It might seem like a good way to mow less often, but cutting grass too short can stress the lawn, weaken roots, encourage weeds and leave brown patches.

For a healthy, greener lawn, only remove around one-third of the grass height at each cut.

This lawn was mown at the correct height and then treated with a seaweed fertiliser, helping to strengthen the grass, promote healthy root growth and keep it looking lush and green.

A healthy lawn isn't always the shortest lawn! 🌱💚
