This job in Aldringham was interesting. As well as the layout, it solved a problem that often arises, but no more!
The "post" effect was a pure accident. The customer wanted the thin strip of tiles going up the side of the wall, to avoid the double trim. Once I started it, I pointed out how well it worked! Because of the block pattern, and the stone effect of porcelain tiles, it actually looks like a stone pillar!
She wasn't looking at the 3d effect, just wanted not to have double trim! It looks structural, not just a tiled piece of wall.
This would work in any situation where the bathroom wall is on the back of the shower wall.
You can leave it bare, or put a picture in the space. Whatever you like, but it looks great!
It's amazing that after 21 years, this is the first time I've done this, yet it's so simple!
