Another enjoyable job!
A Victorian floor I finished on Sunday night in Lowestoft.
I had to build the step from the kitchen to the hallway.
Luckily there were two tiles left over from the kitchen floor, which I didn't tile.

LOVELY LIMESTONE LOUNGE!
This floor has refreshed this old house. ( cue the music!)
It fits the property perfectly.
I made up the non-pattern as I went along, and mixed up the shading.
Finished off with Jasmine grout, and a final layer of sealing, to keep those grout lines looking good!
One of my favourite jobs of the year!

This job in Aldringham was interesting. As well as the layout, it solved a problem that often arises, but no more!
The "post" effect was a pure accident. The customer wanted the thin strip of tiles going up the side of the wall, to avoid the double trim. Once I started it, I pointed out how well it worked! Because of the block pattern, and the stone effect of porcelain tiles, it actually looks like a stone pillar!
She wasn't looking at the 3d effect, just wanted not to have double trim! It looks structural, not just a tiled piece of wall.
This would work in any situation where the bathroom wall is on the back of the shower wall.
You can leave it bare, or put a picture in the space. Whatever you like, but it looks great!
It's amazing that after 21 years, this is the first time I've done this, yet it's so simple!

This lovely farmhouse was lovingly restored over the last few years, and I was lucky enough to have the job of laying the floor.
I was on this job when the Queen died.

67 years ago, this happened! Elvis explodes from the stages of the South onto mainstream TV, straight into people's living rooms. He doesn't hold back, and straight away launches into his version of Big Joe Turner's SHAKE RATTLE 'N' ROLL!
I've opened nearly all my gigs with this song for the last 26 years!

An interesting job today. Nearly finished.
The customer designed this one herself. She's always got something interesting for me to do! Although I quite like designing tile jobs myself, in case anyone is struggling with ideas!

This bathroom in Carlton Colville was a joy to tile. Superbly flat walls by an expert dry-liner.
The tiles themselves were from B&Q, and are textured stone effect. It creates a castle-like effect on the walls. Smoke Grey grout to finish it off.
Don't smoke grey grout, it'll finish you off!

The finished job at Laxfield.
Putting the tiles in upright brick pattern really accentuated the height of the room, and gave it quite a unique look, which is what you want in such a beautiful house.

This was the start of a job in Laxfield last week.
I've worked in some lovely properties these last few months, and this is in my top two!
I was concerned about covering up these old oak beams, but as the lady of the house pointed out, they weren't short of beams!
