Recent Projects at Mw Flail and Forestry Ltd

At Mw Flail and Forestry Ltd, we are dedicated to enhancing the health of our landscapes while promoting safety and biodiversity. Recently, I have been focused on cutting fire breaks in Scotland, an essential task to help reduce fire risk in our precious ecosystems.

Due to the recent changes in muir burn laws, managing heather has become a bit of a muddle. By using low-impact machinery, I’ve been cutting rank heather on peatland to reduce fire risk and effectively manage the heather, creating a more favorable habitat for ground-nesting birds. These efforts not only protect vulnerable wildlife but also contribute to sustainable land management practices.

This video showcases my recent work, highlighting the importance of our initiatives in fostering biodiversity and maintaining the integrity of our natural habitats.
