Did someone say more heat pumps?
Another challenging project successfully delivered.
This one definitely tested us. Large ASHP units, a very tight working area, existing services and pre-existing foundations all had to be taken into consideration to make everything fit into the space available.
From the initial planning and site inspections, through to ground investigation, working load testing, design and installation of our structural foundations, we’ve been involved throughout to make sure the final solution worked for the site.
There wasn’t much room for error on this one. Everything had to be carefully planned and measured, not only to make sure the foundations worked structurally, but also to make sure the ASHP units could actually be delivered and positioned in such a restricted space.
This is where our system really comes into its own. Instead of trying to make a traditional concrete foundation work around all the existing services and site constraints, we were able to design our foundations around what was already there and make the most of every bit of available space.
It’s great to see a project go from the first site inspection and working load tests right through to the final product, with all the ASHP units sitting exactly where they were designed to be.
A lot of work goes on behind the scenes on projects like this, but that’s what makes seeing the finished job even better.
