Half Roof Re-Roof Completed âś…
This weekend, our team at ACTIVE Build carried out a full re-roof on one half of a property after the customer experienced persistent leaks from their old dark red Marley tiles.

We replaced the old tiles with new blue Marley tiles, perfectly matching the existing blue slate on the opposite side of the roof for a seamless finish. A new continuous ridge system was installed across the top, along with new leadwork down the left-hand abutment for long-lasting protection against the elements.

All completed efficiently — scaffolding up Friday, full re-roof done Saturday, with a few finishing touches scheduled for tomorrow before scaffolding comes down Monday.

🌧️ Landslide Recovery in Luddendenfoot – A 3-Year Journey Complete! 🌿

After a severe landslide in Luddendenfoot caused the river to flood and damage the wall alongside the church, we’ve been working tirelessly with multiple parties — including the Environmental Agency, David’s insurance company, and the church leaders — to make the site safe again.

The vicarage has now been fully underpinned and stabilised after years of coordination and hard work. Over this time, our goal has been to take as much stress away from David as possible while ensuring the property and church grounds were restored to a safe and secure standard.

âś… Recent works completed:
• Removed over 25 tons of ballast used for temporary flood defence
• Rebuilt the boundary wall alongside the church
• Re-laid the gravestones with care and respect

We’ve worked with David on the vicarage for nearly 10 years, and it’s great to finally move forward to the next stage — transforming his garden back into a space he can enjoy again, instead of a dangerous cliff edge. 🌿
