2 x qualified builders and a labourer for a project in Holmfirth. Will need CSCS. Temporary basis initially with the prospect of more work.

1 x qualified builder for a more permanent role. Again will need CSCS.

🏛️ Historic buildings deserve better than being covered up, neglected, or slowly stripped of their character.

That's why projects like John William Street are so important.

For years, many of these buildings had lost the features that made them special. Now, through careful restoration and traditional craftsmanship, they're being brought back to life and returned to something much closer to their original glory.

At Rhodes, heritage projects are some of our favourites to work on. They take patience, skill, and a genuine respect for the generations of tradespeople who built them in the first place. 🔨

Because once a building's character is gone, it's incredibly difficult to get it back.

Great to see Huddersfield investing in its heritage and preserving the buildings that give the town its identity 👏

This is what a day on the tools looks like from our perspective 🔨

From precise measurements and careful fitting to the finishing touches, every detail matters when you're creating bespoke joinery for high-end clients.

This particular installation took place at the Bettys and Taylors of Harrogate headquarters, where our team fitted a custom-built bench and storage unit within the cookery school.

It's not always glamorous, but it's skilled work, problem-solving, craftsmanship, and attention to detail that comes together to create a finished product we're proud to put our name to.

Restoring the character of Huddersfield town centre 🛠️

Our heritage team has completed the restoration of multiple shopfronts on John William Street, helping return these Grade II listed buildings back to a style that reflects their original architecture and history.

Projects like this require precision, traditional craftsmanship, and real attention to detail - ensuring modern upgrades still respect the heritage of the building.

A fantastic project to be involved in and great to see these historic properties looking how they should once again 🤩

A privilege to be back working with one of Yorkshire’s most iconic brands ☕️

Our team recently completed bespoke joinery works within the Betty's Cookery School at the Betty's and Taylor's of Harrogate headquarters, manufacturing and fitting a custom bench and cupboard unit tailored specifically for the space.

We’ve built a strong relationship with the Bettys team over a number of projects, and it’s something we’re incredibly proud of to continue being trusted to deliver high-quality workmanship within such a prestigious environment.

Attention to detail, craftsmanship, and quality are values both businesses share.

There’s a lot more happening at Ainley Top than meets the eye.

Alongside the main retaining wall works, our team is delivering multiple masonry elements across the wider A629 improvement project, all aimed at improving traffic flow and infrastructure in the area.

From the new perimeter wall surrounding the public car park, through to the careful dismantling and rebuilding of the church boundary wall using the original stone, every aspect of the project requires precision and skilled craftsmanship.

These improvements are designed to ease congestion, improve access towards the M62, and enhance the overall appearance of the area for years to come.

A brilliant project to be involved in, showcasing the quality and versatility of our building team.

We are looking for some admin help with our fire door services.

* Based in our Elland office.
* 12 flexible hours to start over Monday to Friday. You can work them over 2 days or more if needed.
* Scope to increase hours as our fire door services grow.
* Must be computer literate with Word, Excel, PDF documents, email.

We are looking for someone to start at the end of May.

If you travel between Halifax, Huddersfield and the M62, you’ll have seen this taking shape.

Our team is delivering the masonry works at Ainley Top as part of the A629 improvements, with this retaining wall being a key feature of the project.

Built using a natural random rubble finish, every stone is placed by hand to create a structure that’s not only strong, but also in keeping with the local surroundings.

It’s skilled, detailed work that showcases the quality of our building team on a large-scale infrastructure project.

The story of Roots Whole Food Market 🥕

Roots Wholefoods was created during a time when many people simply couldn’t access the essentials. What started as a response to a real local need quickly became something much bigger.

Our team at Rhodes stripped the building back and completely transformed the interior, designing and building all display units from scratch, delivering a full fit-out under tight timelines and challenging conditions.

This wasn’t just another project. It was an investment into Elland, supporting local people, working alongside other independent businesses, and helping bring life back into the high street.

A space built with purpose, and one we’re proud to have played a part in.
