Another project completed by Power Electric Engineering Ltd ⚡
We've just finished the design, installation and commissioning of an infrared heating system across three workshop units within a historic building at a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Working in heritage buildings requires careful consideration — minimising structural impact, sympathetic installation methods and ensuring the building's character is preserved while bringing the electrical infrastructure up to modern standards.
The scope included:
🔧 Ceiling and wall-mounted infrared heating panels across 3 separate units with multiple zones.
🔧 Contactors for high load switching of heating circuits
🔧 Shelly integrated smart controls providing remote monitoring, programmable scheduling and zone management
🔧 Full distribution board replacement and upgrade — fitted with 30mA RCBO's and Type 2 surge protection on all circuits
All works completed via certified NAPIT contractor
Infrared heating is an ideal solution for heritage buildings — efficient, no pipwork required, and minimal disruption to the fabric of the building.
