“Over the past 12-15 years, we had been slowly doing DIY as we had time in an attempt to renovate our home that had not been remodelled in over 30 years but knew we would get to a certain point that was beyond our skillset and knowledge. When we realised the time had come, we knew we had to go with Quarrybank Construction.
Although we had not had them do work for us previously, their sister company Quarrybank Boutique Bathrooms had designed and installed two of the most beautiful bathrooms we had ever seen for us toward the end of 2025. We first met Steven when he attended the initial walkthrough for the bathrooms. We found out then that Steven also owned/operated a construction company. Our experience with the bathrooms quality, installation and customer service was so high that we wanted to see if our other home renovations would be something the sister construction company would do.
Steven came by after the holidays to find out what work we were looking for and after a thorough walk through and discussion, we had a solid plan and start date. We knew there was a lot of work to be done and structural issues that needed to be addressed so we knew we would be living in a bit of construction zone. Steven and his team made it a lot easier to deal with than we expected. They were all a joy to work with and incredibly skilled at what they do. From moving and creating a larger new loft hatch, boarding our loft to give us more storage space, stripping back walls to brick for fresh new plasterboards and plaster, correcting a previous owners DIY mistake by converting it into a walk-in closet with drawers and shelves and hanging rails, designing a floor to ceiling linen cupboard and making it a feature, removing and recreating an old front door frame into a new glass interior door, remodelling our front porch with beautiful new custom tile floor, raised the porch ceiling to follow the roof line, designing and installing an entryway closet, complete strip back of the living room to brick, new living room walls and ceiling, landing, living room and bedroom lighting, new beautiful radiators, all new interior doors throughout, beautifully painted throughout with gorgeous skirting boards, wood LVT floors, new carpeting and a lovely sandstone front step outside the front door. The entire process was like a well-oiled machine from start to finish. The level of professionalism, quality control and customer service has really set the bar very high. One of the big things that stood out for me is the fact that every member of the team takes such pride in the work they do. Quality control and client satisfaction means as much to them as the client. We have had such peace of mind through the entire process and the results far exceeded our expectations. They really listened and paid attention to our needs and wishes and have turned our bland 1969 semi into Crewe into more than we thought it could be. It is a beautiful home that truly reflects us. We couldn’t be more pleased and are very happy to put Quarrybank Construction on the top tier for construction and renovations.”
