I do love when pics pop up to remind me how far we have come on the house. DMU House (decontamination military unit). The Royal Mail were very puzzled by our address choice but we are being historically accurate! Just to point out we had to keep the existing structure, these were the entrances for people if there was a mustard gas attack! All the green render us the original building. The cladding will be the new elements. Slots were not for guns, they’re for throwing contaminated clothes out! It’s not a chimney, it’s a snorkel that would have drawn in clean air from above the mustard gas. Although we are architects, we are also the builder and client for this project! It’s amazing and exhausting. Hoping to start my youtube channel again soon. It’s been a while!
