Tried out some new fittings from everyone who has used MLCP knows it’s important to have somewhere that keeps a load of fittings in stock and turns out have got LOADS of these fittings and pipe on the shelf ready to go, which is well handy!!

These fittings use TH profile press jaws and they fit in my press gun, which is great! For domestic you’ll most likely be using 16/20/26/32mm pipe/fittings.

I hope this little demo was informative if you’ve never used MLCP before, let me know if you have used it before, or what you use in the comments below 🙌🏻

And can anyone clear up if you can use a silicone hose to test LPG, when I called gas safe they said it was fine, but I really don’t think they knew what I was asking…

Also: Water Gauge or Digital gauge??

New .uk ecoTEC+ 412 installed in

The old boiler had a fault, BG attended and said they couldn’t fix it and they would give a price to replace but they never followed up.

I went round to see if it could be repaired but agreed it was time for a new boiler, that old one lasted 26 years, which is pretty good if you ask me.

New 12kw boiler fitted, then down rated to 9kw, new radiator valves fitted throughout, new pump valves fitted, external soakaway installed, system powerflushed, commissioned and handed over. 10 year warranty on new boiler 🐰💚

Big thanks to uncle Pete for jumping on and helping out, it’s defo always easier when you’ve got some help!

- it wasn’t circulating through the magnets so I took it apart to check it and found a hose had popped off, easy fix!

flushing adaptor is a must especially if you install .uk boilers!

Failed potable expansion vessel- ZILMET 💥

Anyone else had issues with these? I fitted this one as a replacement just over 2 years ago: 19/02/2024

I’m assuming there is no warranty on this vessel, it’s a shame, I feel bad for my customer, this is costing them a few quid now for something that surely shouldn’t have failed already 😩
