Project Complete – Tanys Dell, Harlow (Part 2)

That's a wrap!

After 4 months of hard work, long days, hot weather, plenty of challenges and a fair bit of stress, this incredible renovation is finally complete – and every bit of effort was worth it.

The property has undergone a complete transformation, including:

- Full strip out

-New ceilings throughout

-Extensive preparation and plastering

-New fully dimmable LED spotlights with adjustable light colour (warm to cool), plus new electrical circuits

- Brand new radiators throughout, with additional heating installed where required

- New skirting boards and architraves

- Fresh white decoration throughout, with feature walls in every main room

Bedroom 1 – Yellow
Bedroom 2 – Grey
Bedroom 3 – Red
Hallway – Teal
Living Room – Coffee

New pre-finished oak doors with black ironmongery throughout x 11

One of the biggest parts of the project was completely transforming the staircase, including structural alterations, removing sections of wall and installing a stunning new oak balustrade with 16mm black metal spindles.

Additional works included:

• Two storage cupboards fully tiled using 600 × 300 Aruba Grey porcelain tiles

• Matching tiled porch

• Bespoke oak shelving on the landing

• Brand new carpets fitted throughout the entire property

This has been a fantastic project from start to finish, and it wouldn't have been possible without a great team.

🏡 HARLOW PROJECT – 4 MONTHS OF HARD WORK

What started as a tired property has been transformed over the last four months into a modern family home.

Every single room has been treated as its own project, with no shortcuts taken at any stage.

Every room has gone through the following process:

🔨 Stripped back to expose the original structure.

🧹 Prepared ready for renovation, removing years of previous alterations and making everything safe to work on.

🪚 New plasterboarding installed where required, replacing damaged walls and ceilings and correcting poor workmanship uncovered during the strip-out.

⚡ Electrical works completed throughout, including rewiring where necessary, relocating sockets and switches, new lighting, and second-fix electrics.

🚰 Plumbing alterations carried out, including pipework modifications and radiator changes to suit the new layouts.

🪣 Every room professionally plastered, leaving clean, smooth walls and ceilings ready for decoration.

🪵 Carpentry completed throughout, including new skirting boards, architraves, bespoke joinery, staircase alterations, shelving, and all finishing timber work.

🎨 Fully decorated with mist coats, undercoats and multiple finishing coats to achieve a crisp, modern finish.

🚪 Brand-new internal doors fitted throughout the property with quality ironmongery, carefully adjusted and finished for a perfect fit.

Along the way we encountered exactly what you would expect from a full renovation—hidden defects, failed previous repairs, uneven walls, damaged plasterboard, structural alterations and countless unforeseen issues. Instead of covering them up, every problem was rectified properly before moving on to the next stage.

A project like this isn't just about making a house look good—it's about building it properly from the inside out.

We're now on the final stretch.

The only remaining works are the carpets and final furnishings before we can reveal the completed transformation.

A special mention goes to SK Flooring & Carpets, Harlow, who will be completing the flooring installation. Sam and his team always provide an excellent service, and we're looking forward to seeing the finishing touch they add to this renovation.

PM Property & Building Services – Project Update

Building and renovation works are still underway on our Harlow project and we're now nearing completion.

The current phase is the full renovation of the living room and dining room, with everything starting to come together nicely.

The final touches will then include the installation of brand-new internal doors throughout the property, followed by new carpeting, professionally supplied and fitted by Sam at SK Flooring.

It's been a great project to be involved with, and we can't wait to share the finished transformation with you all.

We’ve got a lot happening right now on our Harlow project — full steam ahead

Current works underway include:

• Full strip out
• 1st fix electrics
• Plastering works

If it’s part of a renovation… it’s happening!

Next up this week:

We’re moving into 2nd fix carpentry across selected areas, and decorating works are beginning 🎨 — bringing everything one step closer to the finished result.
