For all those interested (thank you to all those who left comments on tme previous posting), here's the photos and blurb about my jewellery boxes

I have also just made a couple of jewellery boxes in mahogany for a customer - I'll post photos after they have been received and seen by the recipients (I do,'t want to spoil their suprise, if they were to see the posting with their names on them!)

I am about to start offering my own designs of hand built, solid hardwood, jewelry boxes. These are fully lined with velour, have trays for rings, bangles, brooches, necklaces, etc, and the lid engraved with a name of your choice. Hinges and catch are in antique bronze finish, and the completed box will have a waxed satin finish inside and out.

If there is any interest, I will post a couple of photos of recent ones that I have built, so please let me know if you'd like to see and hear more about them (I can't post photos of them just yet as they are gifts for the recipients, and I don't want to spoil the surprise!).

What a busy year 2025 was in the workshop. Thanks to all new and returning customers for making it another successful year.

There will be another couple of new items coming up in 2026. One I haven't got a proper name for it yet, so for now its the "KX Altenew Rack" - to hold the round Altenew Ink pads. This is based on my "KX PanPastel Rack" but with slightly larger holes. If anyone would like to be one of the first to receive it, just order the "KX PanPastel Rack" via my website (the price will be the same) and add the comment "for 70 mm Altenew pads" when ordering - I'll do the rest and confirm your order.

Any comments for this or requests to build something new, just let me know, in the comments or by email (ink is on my website www.creations-by-rod.co.uk

UPDATE: The "KX Altenew Inkpad Rack" is now ready to order. It has a total of 8 drawers; 7 with recessed holes to hold 14 Altenew 70 mm round ink pads (total capacity of 98 pads), plus a flat-bottomed drawer to hold your associated bits and bobs. Price is Ā£79.95 including delivery to any UK postcode. As I haven't had time to add it to my website yet, and as mentioned above, just order the "KX PanPastel Rack" and leave a message for me at check-out "Altenew InkPads", I'll do the rest.
