Here is a beautiful wildlife pond which we finished yesterday! The old pond liner had perished and so the old pond had to be removed (inhabitants were temporarily housed in large buckets).
The garden already had sand stones and some of the old plants were reused, we managed to get a great deal on a large liner offcut, so the only additional materials needed were the under/overlay, the cobbles and some extra plants!
Once the new plants have acclimatised, they can be removed from their baskets and planted into the reed bed, in time this will grow along the whole back ledge of the pond providing habitat for many aquatic species and also natural filtration for the pond, helping to keep it algae free!
