Planning application submitted: extension and refurbishment of a chalet bungalow in the South Downs National Park.

The proposal adds two bedrooms and open plan family living space, reorganises the entrance and stair, and brings the 1920’s home into the 21st century in terms of heating, power and insulation.

A new climate-resilient home taking shape near Haslemere.

We're currently exploring ideas for a new family home that combines Surrey's traditional material palette with design approaches better suited to a warmer future.

Natural buff brick, light render, timber detailing and a ventilated roof are being tested alongside generous roof overhangs, shaded terraces, a swimming pool for passive cooling, drought-tolerant planting, rainwater management and spaces that blur the boundary between indoors and outdoors.

These early concept visuals are part of an iterative design process, helping us test materials, proportions, shade, landscape and how the house will be experienced before the design develops further.

Good architecture should respond not only to its surroundings today, but to the climate it will experience over the next 50–100 years.

A great start to the month with two planning permissions approved for residential extensions in Haslemere. 🎉

We've also been busy exploring design options for a beautiful new home on the outskirts of Haslemere—a contemporary three-bedroom courtyard house with an outdoor swimming pool, carefully designed to make the most of an exceptional site.

Working with clients who embrace thoughtful, sustainable design is always rewarding, and we're excited to see this project develop. Watch this space... it's going to be a special one.

Priceless Titian frescoes, extraordinary murals and architectural craftsmanship that has survived centuries were all around us. Yet outside those walls sits a city thats long-term future is increasingly threatened by rising sea levels and climate change.

The contrast couldn’t have been more striking.
Protecting our cultural heritage isn’t just about preserving the past. It’s about building the resilience needed to ensure future generations inherit the places, communities and stories that define us.
