We completely removed the old rotten deck and rebuilt it from the ground up, including new footings and a fresh structure. It's finished in anthracite composite decking with matching anthracite handrail and balustrade, so there's no rot, no re-staining and no annual maintenance.

Before and after: new internal doors, a nice upgrade for this hallway.

We swapped the tired old painted flush doors for solid oak vertical-panel doors with matt black lever handles. The warm oak against the black ironmongery gives the whole hallway a far more premium, characterful feel.

Big job kicked off this week!

Out with the old, in with the new — this raised rear deck is getting a complete rebuild. Full demolition of the old timber deck, new structural framework and footings going in, then finishing with low-maintenance composite decking and fresh balustrades.

This one's up high so getting the frame and footings spot on is the priority before anything else goes down.

New Project – Commercial Unit Fit-Out

Great progress this week on our latest commercial build! We’re currently constructing a full timber-framed office within this industrial unit — creating valuable extra office and storage space without losing the open warehouse footprint below.

Work so far includes:
✅ Structural timber framing & I-joists
✅ Insulation to all external stud walls
✅ Ply sheathing going up on internal partitions
✅ First fix electrics underway

It’s brilliant seeing a space transform from a shell into a functional working environment. More updates to follow as we progress through first fix and onto boarding, plastering and final finishes.
