This greenhouse was built out of sapele hardwood and designed with the same glazing spacing and dimensions as a previous rebuild.
Part of the base has incorporated an existing brick wall which had to be used due to the property and its curtilage being listed.
The structure is 130mm (5 1/4 inches) out if square due to this.

The client is very happy with the result and can’t wait for growing season to start, once he has finished all of the paving and worked out the internal layout..

This timber frame was almost rotten all the way through, the supporting structure has been replaced with a new solid Douglas fir frame and then externally clad with sapele hardwood cover boards finished with a UV resistant oil.
The windows have been repaired and repainted to give years more service.
A solid ash window seat has been installed internally at a standard chair height so that a dining table can be positioned by the window, making good use of what once was dead space.
A very happy customer..

Nearing completion of a Thomas messenger greenhouse rebuild. Originally built in 1898 we have rebuild it using the original timber section sizes and all of the original ironmongery on the original base.. we are now waiting for some sunshine to finish the painting and glazing.

A recent home office/summerhouse build.
The building was designed and built by jf Wright carpentry including all of the joinery.
The building has a cedar shingle roof, is fully insulated with a wooden floor along with heating WiFi and down lights..
I think it’s mainly going to be used to escape the children and watch sport 😉

Before and after rebuild of a glasshouse in Bodiam, the original doors were reused and one of them hung the wrong way round in keeping with the original. All brickwork repairs and repointing kept to only what was necessary to keep as much authenticity as possible.
