I really feel sorry for customers who go through this kind of thing.
I Started a job in Hastings old town last week, as been waiting for other trades to be finished on another job in Hastings. I got called in to come and skim this bass coat, not only was it lumpy and un even, the mesh wasn’t done properly and there was plastic beads on the corners of the fire place, so a quick skim job turned into a whole strip out and re done properly. 🥲

Churn Brushing up after a good session with the wire brush first, This was during summer this little project, unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of the finished product. I would have had the flints closer together but I needed them to mash to building opposite.

Pulling In and Closing up a Coat of Italian Lime Plaster
The process involves pulling and closing to create a smooth, level coat of Italian lime plaster in preparation for the next layer. I’m using a sponge float for this stage — while a sponge float isn’t suitable for all lime plasters, it works exceptionally well with this particular product, providing an even and refined surface.

Another successful project completed in Lewes, East Sussex.
This wall was in a severely deteriorated condition, but over the course of a few days, I restored it to its former glory using traditional natural lime mortar.

Today I’ve made a start on one of my recent projects in East Sussex, repointing this pre existing brick pillar with traditional lime mortar, I then will be fixing a flint cap upon the pillar on a later date.
