Stonehouse Carving Stonehouse Carving specialises in handcarved, natural stone commissions. We also offer courses in stone carving.

Carving commissions range from fireplaces to life-size figures, fountains, architectural relief carving, memorials and smaller garden pieces. We work with you to tailor any stone project to your design. Our stone carving courses vary from Stone Carving for Beginners and Improvers, for people interested in learning to carve stone as a hobby. We also offer An Introduction to Stonemasonry for those looking to develop a career in masonry.

The Pilgrim Fayre is set to take place in the stunning grounds of a medieval Palace with a breath-taking view of St Davids Cathedral. What better place to explore the traditional art of Masonry with Master Mason, Oliver Coe? On the day, Oliver will be demonstrating his mastery of stone carving and will be available to discuss his craft with those interested.
With over 30 years of experience in the stone industry, Oliver Coe is the director of Coe Stone Ltd. He has worked on a wide range of projects both large and small across the United Kingdom. He has a passion for teaching and is the Tutor on our NVQ3 Heritage Masonry course.
The Pilgrim Fayre is the perfect opportunity to gain insight from a master of his craft. Oliver will be demonstrating his stone carving skills while offering advice and guidance to those looking to explore traditional Masonry.

What an achievement! From brick laying to building a wall using traditional stone, mortars and methods- the talented learners from Pembrokeshire College showcase their skills. The group have been mentored by Olly and Dan from Coe Stone Limited. This week they will be using their new knowledge and skills to rebuild a section of Pembroke Town Walls. The Tywi Centre are proud to be partners in this project that aims to recruit and train our stonemasons of the future to repair and maintain Wales’s precious built heritage. This is part of a project being delivered by Pembrokeshire Built Heritage CIC and funded by the Community Renewal Fund.
