An update from Marple Community Hub!

Having completed the Euroclad Vieo standing seam and IKO Permatec hot melt inverted roofing, our skilled teams are now well advanced with the facade.

We are installing Euroclad Vieo standing seam warm wall system and Rockpanel Woods rainscreen across multiple elevations.

We’re proud to be supporting our long-standing client Willmott Dixon on this fantastic community project. This new community hub will soon offer a library, 5-lane pool, café, 60-station gym and a new home for Marple Clinic — a great facility for the local area.

The latest drone photography highlights the significant progress being made at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, where we are delivering the roof, façade and louvre packages for IHP - Integrated Health Projects by Vinci Building and Sir Robert McAlpine.

The building envelope is now taking its final form, with the Eurobond stone wool composite panel system and the Taylor Maxwell / SBS Cladding Anvil rainscreen façade making a striking impact across the development.

At roof level, works continue to progress well with the IKO Permatec hot melt inverted roofing system, alongside blue and green roof installations being delivered by Eco Green Group.

Longworth Louvres' PPC aluminium louvre systems are also becoming increasingly visible across the rooftop plant areas, contributing to both the functionality and appearance of the completed facility.

These latest aerial views provide a fantastic perspective of the scale of the project and the progress being achieved by all parties involved in delivering this important healthcare development.

A great effort from the entire project team as we continue towards completion.

A fantastic achievement by the Longworth Facades team this weekend! 👏

On Sunday, our Operations Director, Lee Smith, Head of Technical Design, Paul Hilde, and Design Manager, Mike Smith, took part in the Wirral Coastal Walk in support of The Brain Charity.

Mike completed the organised 20km route in an impressive 3.5 hours, while Lee and Paul decided to take on an even greater challenge, turning around at the finish and walking the entire route back to complete an incredible 40km in 7.5 hours.

Out of more than 1,700 participants, our team finished the 20km route in 10th, 11th and 12th place – a remarkable achievement and a testament to their determination, endurance and commitment.

Most importantly, the challenge was undertaken as part of our ongoing fundraising for The Brain Charity, helping support people affected by neurological conditions and their families.

We are incredibly proud of Lee, Paul and Mike for representing Longworth Facades and supporting such a worthwhile cause.

The move marks an exciting milestone for the Group and reflects the continued growth of our businesses – Longworth Facades, Longworth Hard Metals and Longworth Louvres.

Our new headquarters provides a modern, collaborative environment designed to support our people, strengthen teamwork and create the space needed for our continued expansion. Progress photos from Royal Shrewsbury Hospital where we are delivering roof, facade and louvre packages for VINCI Building UK

The facade continues with great progress on both the Eurobond stone wool composite panel areas and the Taylor Maxwell SBS Cladding Anvil rainscreen system

On the roof, we are installing IKO Permatec hot melt inverted roofing with Eco Green Group completing the blue and green roofing systems.

To the roof top plant rooms, Longworth Louvres are designing, supplying and installing PPC aluminium louvres.

Snowdon by Night Challenge Completed! ⛰️🌙

On Friday night and into the early hours of Saturday morning, members of the Longworth Facades team took on the Snowdon by Night Challenge, trekking to the summit of Wales' highest mountain under the stars.

The challenge was undertaken to raise funds for The Brain Charity, a fantastic organisation that provides support and information to people affected by neurological conditions and their families.

We're incredibly proud of everyone who took part, demonstrating determination, teamwork and resilience throughout the challenge. Thanks to the generosity of colleagues, friends, family and our wider network, the team has raised an amazing £920 for this worthy cause.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated and supported the challenge. Your contributions will help The Brain Charity continue its important work and make a real difference to those who rely on its services.

Longworth Facades was proud to support a recent Trades Taster Day at Salford Youth Zone, organised by Kier Group and NG Bailey in partnership with EMPOWER, the charity behind Salford Youth Zone and HideOut Youth Zone.

Representing Longworth Facades at the event were our Operations Director, Lee Smith, and Senior Quantity Surveyor, Daniel Pilcher, who joined industry partners in helping young people explore the wide range of opportunities available within construction and the trades.

As a supply chain partner working with Kier on the University of Salford Clinic Building project, supporting initiatives such as this forms part of our commitment to creating a positive impact within the local community. We believe that investing in young people and promoting careers in construction is an important part of the legacy we leave behind on every project.

It was fantastic to see so many young people getting involved with hands-on activities, demonstrations and challenges, gaining valuable insight into the world of construction and engineering.

A huge thank you to Kier Group, NG Bailey, EMPOWER and everyone involved in delivering such a worthwhile event. We are proud to support social value initiatives that help inspire the next generation while contributing positively to the communities in which we work.

Great progress at Wigan Galleries working alongside Longworth Louvres to deliver the roof, facade and louvre package for Galliford Try

Our scope of works includes -

• Euroclad Group Ltd Vieo warm roof system to steeply pitched roofs
• Kingspan Insulated Panels UK & Ireland RW composite panels
• IKO PLC (UK) Permatec inverted roofing system
• Rodeca Ltd polycarbonate cladding
• Louvre and Automated Damper system

This last week our skilled operatives have been installing Rodeca polycarbonate cladding panels to the Market Street Elevation where our facade meets Red Systems curtain walling. It's really starting to take shape!

Supporting No Falls Week 2026

To mark No Falls Week 2026, last week we partnered with Galliford Try and 3M Safety to deliver a fall prevention awareness session focused on fall arrest and restraint systems.

Two sessions were held on site and attended by all trades, with live demonstrations using 3M’s mobile rig to simulate a fall and highlight the real consequences of working at height without the correct controls in place.

The sessions reinforced the importance of:

✔ Using the most suitable equipment for the task
✔ Maintaining equipment correctly
✔ Ensuring effective rescue plans are in place

It was also great to see T Level students and apprentices attending the sessions and gaining valuable knowledge around site safety and working at height.

A big thank you to everyone involved in helping promote safer working practices across the industry.

Employee of the Month – April 👏

Congratulations to our April Employee of the Month, Michael Kinsella.

Michael is our site-based Project Manager at the Catterick Town Centre LUF Project, where we are working for Willmott Dixon, delivering:

• Euroclad Vieo warm roof and wall systems
• Metsec SFS framing
• IKO flat roofing systems

Michael has received this recognition for the fantastic start he has made on the project. Feedback from the client has been excellent, and his commitment to high standards on site has also been recognised through winning a Willmott Dixon Safety Award.

A well-deserved achievement and a great example of the professionalism and dedication we value across Team Longworth.
