We’re delighted to have secured another project with Willmott Dixon, this time at the landmark Princes Exchange in Leeds.

Located alongside Leeds City Station, the £40m+ refurbishment will transform the existing eight-storey building into modern Grade A workspace, including a new hub for Network Rail.

Our works will form part of the wider transformation of the building envelope and will include:

▪️ Careful removal of the existing wall and soffit panels to enable others works to be carried out, with selected panels retained and reinstalled
▪️ Extension of the rooftop plant screen cladding area enabling new M&E
▪️ New PPC aluminium fascias and soffits at seventh-floor level

The project is targeting BREEAM Excellent, alongside a significant improvement in the building's energy performance from an EPC D to a targeted EPC A.

We’re particularly pleased to be continuing our relationship with Willmott Dixon on another significant project and look forward to working with their team and the wider supply chain as the transformation of Princes Exchange progresses.

👷 Creating Opportunities That Make a Difference

Social value isn't just about targets and statistics. Sometimes it's about giving someone an opportunity to show what they can do.

Earlier this year, through our partnership with Ingeus and the Greater Manchester Restart Scheme, we welcomed Kyron onto our Wigan Galleries project for an initial two-week voluntary placement.

Kyron came to us determined to work, learn and make the most of the opportunity. His attitude and commitment quickly impressed our project team, and we were delighted to offer him a paid position as a site operative.

Since then, Kyron has become a valued member of our team, supporting our façade works on the new market hall at Wigan Galleries for Galliford Try, and we're pleased to have subsequently extended his contract.

What makes the story even more special is that Kyron was preparing to become a dad when he joined us. Just two days after being offered the position, his daughter arrived earlier than expected.

For us, that's what meaningful social value looks like — creating opportunities, supporting people into employment and giving someone the chance to build a career and a future for their family.

A huge well done to Kyron for taking the opportunity and making it his own, and thank you to Ingeus, the Restart Scheme, Galliford Try and our project team for helping make stories like this possible.

We're looking forward to seeing where Kyron's journey takes him next.

We’ve been shortlisted! 🏆

We’re delighted to announce that Longworth Facades has been shortlisted for the 2026 Supply Chain Awards in the Aftercare Best Practice category.

This recognition means a great deal to us. At Longworth, we believe our responsibility to a project doesn’t end at handover. Providing responsive aftercare, taking ownership, working collaboratively and supporting our clients long after completion are fundamental to the way we work.

Being shortlisted for this award is therefore fantastic recognition of the commitment shown by our teams and of our continued relationship with GRAHAM Group.

Great to see further progress on our works at the Wigan Galleries redevelopment, where we are continuing to deliver the roofing and cladding works for Galliford Try.

Some of our latest works are now nearing completion, including the Rodeca polycarbonate cladding to the distinctive sawtooth elevations, alongside areas of Kingspan KS1000RW insulated panel cladding.

It’s great to see these elements of the building envelope coming together and contributing to the transformation of this major town centre regeneration scheme.

Our attention will soon turn to the next phase of our works – the new hotel, where we have secured the roofing and cladding package.

We haven’t commenced our works on the hotel just yet, but it’s fantastic to see the progress being made by Galliford Try and the preceding trades, with the structure really starting to take shape. We’re looking forward to getting started and continuing our involvement in this exciting development.

It's fantastic to see The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital development continuing to take shape.

Working alongside IHP – Integrated Health Projects, a joint venture between VINCI Building UK and Sir Robert McAlpine, Longworth Facades is proud to be delivering the roof, façade and louvre systems.

From the early stages of design through to installation, projects of this scale rely on close collaboration between the client, design team, supply chain and specialist contractors. It's this collaborative approach that is helping to deliver a modern healthcare facility that will serve patients, staff and the wider community for many years to come.

We're delighted to have successfully completed our roofing and façade package at Greenheys, Manchester, delivered for Willmott Dixon and BDP Architects.

Located at Manchester Science Park, Greenheys is a landmark £60 million life sciences development, providing state-of-the-art laboratory and office space for businesses operating at the forefront of healthcare innovation. The facility has been designed to support world-leading research and will become the new home of UK Biobank, helping to drive advances in diagnostics, genomics and precision medicine.

This project provided another opportunity to showcase our ability to deliver a coordinated building envelope solution, working alongside Longworth Louvres.

Our scope of works included:

✔️ Euroclad Elite 54 Refresh wall cladding system
✔️ Euroclad Elite 3 roofing system
