Couple of board upgrades on Hayling Island, a lot of energy suppliers are now stopping the economy 7 (off peak) tariff & Storage heaters are ineffective & costly to use, so a lot of our customers are switching to Ronite or similar electric heaters, for these to work during the day (when you actually want heat) you have to remove the economy 7 board & the best way to do this is to fit a larger board to replace both old boards, we usually fit Contactum Ltd main switch boards with Surge Protection & individual RCBO, these offer excellent protection & are very well made boards. Get in contact if you want to upgrade your old fuseboard. We use BEW Electrical Distributors Ltd for all of our electrical supplies.

Call yesterday for a shower not working, I think that’s the worst burnt out switch I’ve ever seen, lucky there was enough cable to cut back, re terminate & fit a new switch.

This 4 x 25mm SWA
cable was hit by a JCB while digging, it wasn't run in properly, so it's going to be dig in to the correct depth & electrical warning tap over the top so hopefully this won't happen again. Repaired with this torpedo joint.
