called out today to a house, (social housing)
they've had a blocked drain for over a week, i know that a big national company attended site on Thursday and due to an inexperienced failed to find the access chamber and failed to clear the blockage,
so after 15 minuets on site drain cover found and an hour later, yes it took that long (old ladies can talk a lot ) all cleared and running perfectly.
so that's another win for the little guy, id be embarrassed to call my self a drain man if i was the other guy,

In this crazy time we all need to be top of our games. Minimising visit time or the number of times a job needs doing.
Earlier this week I was called out for a simply blocked drain where a bath and sink flowed into. What was disappointing was that the day before another drain company claiming to be virus aware and compliant had attended the job.
Despite jetting and then carrying out a camera survey they failed to clear a very simple blockage. Advising the client that a drain reline was needed.
The pictures are what I removed from the drain. This handful of soap and goo was all that was blocking the drain. This was Removed and then a flow check was carried out.
I also cctv checked the drain only 1.5 meters free of charge as I felt that the other company had taken advantage. And found no reason that a reline was necessary.

I've just found out a few of the big boys in my industry are using the covid 19 outbreak as an advertising plus.
Stating they are working in ways to stop the spread.
Let's not take the Micky boys. we deal with nasty stuff on a daily basis.
Our hygiene should be exceptional on a day to day basis. Not just when another nasty thing turns up.
Sink and drain. As always keeping it clean whilst unblocking the blocked.
