Here I am again in Darley Abbey, Derby at the same beautiful house and this time I painted the living room. My customers chose a lovely grey-white shade from Dulux called Tranquil Mist which was used on the ceiling and walls. These beamed ceilings certainly take more time to paint but completely worth it for all that character and charm!

The woodwork, including the gorgeous sash window, is finished in Dulux Trade Diamond Eggshell.

What a privilege it was to work in such a charming house last week in the stunning area of Darley Abbey in Derby! My customers recently had a new kitchen fitted and now needed a professional painter to sort the peeled paint and refresh the room.

They wanted the ceiling and wall colour to match the new kitchen cupboards so I made use of Dulux’s clever technology where they can scan a sample item (in this case a spare kitchen cupboard door) and provide paint in an exact match.

The woodwork, including the gorgeous sash window, is finished in Dulux Trade Diamond Eggshell.

☕️ A latte love for this one ☕️

What a gorgeous, warm and inviting living room this now is for my returning customer in Long Eaton, Nottingham! I’m sure it won’t be long until they can enjoy cosy evenings cuddled up under a blanket with the fire crackling away. The walls are painted in Dulux Trade Vinyl Matt in the shade Caramel Latte and the woodwork is in Dulux Trade Satinwood for a modern clean finish.

This shower room certainly has the WOW factor! The bold choice of colour scheme from my customers in Beeston, Nottingham is something that you would find in a stylish magazine or a Pinterest board and it was my pleasure to bring that vision to life. After having the builders in to refit their shower room, including new plaster and woodwork, it was time for me to mist coat, prime and paint in the final colours. The ceiling and walls are in Valspar Premium Kitchen & Bathroom in the shade Terra Cotta Blush and the woodwork is in Valspar Premium Wood & Metal Satinwood in the shade Peacoat.

From standard white walls to something a little more inviting 🏡

This week I have given this hallway in Ilkeston, Derbyshire a fresh new look with the Dulux shade Fine Cream, making the space feel more homely.

Before (not pictured) the walls were plain white and the woodwork had yellowed since it was last painted. Now it’s all fresh and clean again, finished with Dulux Trade High Gloss on the woodwork. When my customers have new doors and carpet fitted in a couple of weeks it will really transform the space!

Oh what a feeling! 💪🏼

My customers in Long Eaton, Nottingham were keen to give their large kitchen and living room a makeover themselves but were unsure how to tackle the very large and complicated ceiling with 21 spotlights and a giant skylight reveal- which is higher than it might look on pictures!

I also filled many hairline cracks and nail pops and covered a water stain with specialist paint. My customers are painting the walls and woodwork themselves.

A ceiling this large is certainly a job for a professional with the expertise on how to achieve an even finish and who takes preparation seriously.

Here’s a bedroom in a rental property I completed earlier this month in Arnold, Nottingham. The ceiling had been freshly plastered after a leak and required a mist coat before painting as usual. The walls and woodwork were also freshened up from magnolia to white.
