Another successful vehicle crossover installation completed by the team at B. Harris Surfacing Ltd.

This project was carried out safely under a lane closure, with all local authority permits arranged in advance. Traffic management was provided by one of our approved specialist subcontractors, ensuring the works were completed safely and with minimal disruption to the public.

Our scope of works included:

✅ Excavation and preparation
✅ Reinforced concrete vehicle crossover installation
✅ Tarmac tie-ins and reinstatement
✅ New road markings
✅ Full site clean-up on completion

Emergency Road Reconstruction Completed

B. Harris Surfacing Ltd carried out emergency reactive works following carriageway failure caused by a burst water main, which had undermined the existing road construction and made the area unsafe. Immediate works were required to prevent further damage and allow the road to be reopened safely.

The affected section was fully planed out and excavated, with the carriageway reconstructed from formation level to a depth of 285mm. Works were completed in Hot Rolled Asphalt (HRA) with pre-coated chippings, all in accordance with British Highways Specifications.

Our team remained on site until completion to minimise disruption and ensure the road was reopened as quickly as possible.

All aspects of surfacing, groundworks, civil engineering and road markings are carried out in-house by B. Harris Surfacing Ltd, delivering complete projects nationwide.
