A big milestone for Dreamy Electrics this week! 🎉

Today marks Adam’s final week at college. After years of hard work, he’s now ready to get out on the road and start taking on his own jobs.

To help make that happen, we’ve added another van to the fleet, meaning you’ll soon be seeing Adam out and about across Helensburgh and the surrounding areas carrying out electrical work under the Dreamy Electrics name.

It’s been brilliant watching his confidence and skills grow over the last few years, and we’re all incredibly proud of how far he’s come.

So, if you spot the new Dreamy Electrics van on the road, give Adam a wave! 👋

I watched the story about Harvey Tyrrell at the King Harold Pub in Romford today and honestly found it really difficult to watch.

It’s a heartbreaking reminder of why it’s so important to use competent, qualified electricians and to make sure electrical installations are carried out properly, tested properly and maintained properly over time.

Regular inspections and testing are so important, especially on older installations, as they can help identify faults and dangers before something serious happens.

As tradespeople we have a responsibility to do things correctly, even when it takes longer, costs more or isn’t the easiest option. Electrical safety should never be compromised.

I’ve signed the petition linked with the video and would encourage others to take a few minutes to watch it and support it as well. It genuinely hit home. ⚡

⚡ EV Charger Installation Completed ⚡

Another EV charger installed today by Dreamy Electrics 🚗🔋

With fuel prices still fluctuating and more people making the switch to electric vehicles, home charging is becoming one of the most convenient and cost-effective ways to run your car.

For this install we fitted a tethered EV charger along with a dedicated FuseBox consumer unit complete with surge protection and RCBO protection for added safety and reliability 👌

Another soffit lighting installation completed for a customer in Helensburgh ⚡

The client wanted subtle lighting added to the front of the property to give it a cleaner and more modern look at night — really happy with how this one turned out 👌

Another tidy one for a client 👌

They wanted all cables hidden for a wall-mounted TV, so we chased the wall, installed conduit, and fitted a back box with a brushed pass-through plate to keep everything neat and accessible.

Clean finish and no cables on show — exactly how it should be done.

Client’s over the moon with it 👍

Recently we had the pleasure of helping out Helensburgh Athletics Club, a fantastic local non-profit organisation 🏃‍♂️

After carrying out testing, we identified a number of issues with the electrical installation — the main concern being the lack of RCD protection. The existing 3-phase consumer unit was also obsolete, meaning repairs weren’t a safe or long-term option.

After discussions with NAPIT and others, it was clear that a full consumer unit upgrade was the best way forward.

As a non-profit, the club understandably had concerns around cost. We reached out to @ , who kindly supplied the materials, and we were more than happy to provide the labour to get the job done.

The installation is now safer, up to standard, and ready for the club to continue the great work they do in the community 👏
