🔥 CONCRETE TO DECKING — WHAT A DIFFERENCE! 🔥

Another cracking job completed by the SLR team 💪🪚

This area started off as a plain concrete balcony/terrace, so we’ve completely transformed it by installing a brand-new timber deck directly over the existing concrete, along with a new timber step to finish everything off properly. 👌

Keeping the existing metal railings in place, we’ve worked the new decking neatly around the property and existing features to give the whole area a much warmer, cleaner and more usable finish.

What a transformation this one has turned out to be! 👌

A full Black Limestone patio & pathway installation, giving the garden a completely new look. The black limestone looks absolutely class — especially when it’s wet! 😍🖤

⚒️ Works completed included:
• Black limestone paving throughout
• Full patio area around the property
• New pathways through the garden
• Drainage channel installed
• Detailed cuts around the property and existing features
• Decorative stone borders
• Edges finished and ground made good

A Personal Message from SLR Maintenance & Landscaping

Over the next few days, SLR Maintenance & Landscaping will be operating at a slower pace than usual.

This weekend, our family lost a truly remarkable man – my papa, Tom McBride.

Today I chose this ‘Joseph Rock’ Rowan tree in his memory. Rather than flowers that fade, this tree will grow stronger with every passing year, becoming a lasting reminder of the man who taught me so much about hard work, kindness, family and never giving up.

Anyone who knew my papa knew he was a true gentleman. He worked tirelessly throughout his life, even working three jobs at one point before building his own window blind business. Everything he did was for his family, and the values he lived by are the same values I try to bring to SLR every day.

Over the coming days I’ll be spending some much-needed time with my family as we plant this tree together in his honour.

I’d like to thank all of our customers for their patience, understanding and the kind messages we’ve already received. If I’m a little slower replying to calls or messages, please know I’ll get back to everyone as soon as I can.

Family will always come first, and I’m grateful for your support during this difficult time.

Rest easy, Papa. You’ll always be with us. ❤️🌳

🌱 Another tough pampas grass removal completed by the SLR team 💪

This stuff might look nice when it’s maintained… but once it takes over, it’s an absolute nightmare to work with 😅 Razor-sharp blades, massive root systems, and endless waste to clear.

⚒️ Repair & Reinforcement Job Completed by SLR Maintenance & Landscaping ⚒️

These existing garden steps had unfortunately been poorly installed previously, with the inside filled using loose stone chips which caused movement and pressure on the sleepers, making the whole structure unsafe to walk on.

The SLR team came in and carried out reinforcement works to make the steps safe, solid and practical again 👌

✅ Strengthened and reinforced existing structure
✅ Installed new support posts for added stability
✅ Re-secured sleepers to prevent movement
✅ Supplied and fitted fresh treated decking tops
✅ Improved overall safety and usability
✅ Full tidy on completion

Now the steps are far more secure underfoot and give the garden a much cleaner finished look 🌿

to a solid, clean, built-to-last set of steps 🔥

This one wasn’t just a tidy up —
➡️ Full strip out
➡️ Rebuild from the ground up
➡️ Proper base, proper structure
➡️ Finished with sharp lines & clean slabs

No shortcuts. No patch jobs.
Done right or not at all.

You can see from the build photos — this isn’t just “slap bricks together” work…
this is structure, levels, and doing it properly so it lasts 💪

⚒️ NO WOBBLE. NO SINK. IN SOLID. ⚒️

Customer had a washing line going like a drunk on a Friday night… not anymore 😂

✔️ New post set and concreted in properly
✔️ Leveled and locked in – not moving an inch
✔️ Ground made good & grass reinstated like we were never there

Looks simple… but this is where cowboy jobs show 👀
Do it wrong and it’s loose again in 6 months.

We do it once. We do it right.
