Today, our team had the opportunity to work alongside our trusted partners at F Environmental Ltd. t/a Asbestos Fighters to safely remove an obsolete boiler installation. This unit presented a significant challenge, as asbestos was present within the heat exchanger and flue system.

🔹 Inspection & Preparation: The existing boiler was carefully assessed and isolated, ensuring all connections were made safe prior to removal.
🔹 Asbestos Handling: With AF Environmental on site, the asbestos-containing materials were managed and removed in strict compliance with health and safety regulations, guaranteeing a controlled and safe process from start to finish.
🔹 System Removal: The boiler and all associated components were dismantled and securely contained, preventing any contamination risks to the property.
🔹 Site Safety & Handover: All asbestos waste was transported from site by AF Environmental, while our team capped off the pipework and ensured the area was left safe, tidy, and ready for the client’s installer to fit a new boiler system.

This project highlighted the importance of collaboration between skilled trades and environmental specialists. By working together, we ensured the client’s property was left safe, compliant, and ready for modernisation.

A quick update from today’s project.

Our team is carrying out non-licensed but notifiable asbestos work (NNLW) after a fire severely damaged a garage and garden area. Sadly, the property wasn’t insured — a stark reminder of how important it is to have proper cover in place.

We recently supported the neighbours with fire-related clean-up, and now we’re assisting the main property owner. We’re working closely with the local council, ensuring all asbestos debris is safely removed and the area is decontaminated to the highest standards.

This morning I had the pleasure of delivering a presentation to my BNI group in a truly stunning venue — and more importantly, I spoke about a topic that’s far too often overlooked: asbestos awareness.

I explained why understanding the risks of asbestos exposure is absolutely crucial, especially for those in construction, facilities management, and property maintenance. Too many people are still unknowingly putting themselves in danger.

That’s exactly why, in collaboration with Call Safety Training, we’re offering FREE UKATA-certified Asbestos Awareness Training to help educate and protect.

Sorry everyone for being so quiet lately… I just came out of prison.

…Another site visit in one of the UK’s correctional facilities, where our team is supporting clients with asbestos-related works and commercial roofing needs.

Working in prisons is a completely different ball game. From the moment you arrive, every tool, material, and person must be accounted for, risk assessments must be watertight, and health & safety compliance is absolutely non-negotiable. What would take a day on a regular site can easily take double the time due to the strict security protocols and limited access schedules.

We’re proud to be trusted with these high-security, high-responsibility jobs. It shows the level of professionalism and diligence our team brings to every site—no matter how tough the environment.

That said… we’re also looking to balance things out with some slightly less “intense” projects! So if you have a school, warehouse, office block, or any commercial building that needs asbestos surveys, removals, or roofing work, we’d love to hear from you.

Let’s keep things moving—just preferably without the barbed wire next time!
