Hello LinkedIners and ASBESTOS FIGHTERS 👊🏻 followers,

What a way to start the day…

At 5:30 this morning, one of our team members was assaulted while trying to stop thieves stealing tools from his van. He ended up being kicked, robbed of his tools, bank card and Apple Watch, and has had to attend hospital with a suspected jaw injury.

This is the reality many hardworking tradespeople face. We get up before most people are even awake, work long hours, pay our taxes, build businesses, support families, and yet there are still individuals out there who think it’s acceptable to take what others have worked so hard for.

The tools can be replaced. The van can be repaired. But no one should be assaulted simply for trying to earn an honest living.

Wishing our colleague a speedy recovery, and hopefully the police manage to identify those responsible. If you know anyone in the trades, check in on them today. A lot of people don’t realise the impact these incidents have on small businesses and working families.
