🔨 Studwork Project – Wigginton 🔨

We recently completed an extensive studwork package for Steers & Son Building Services at their project in Wigginton.

With plenty of angled roof sections and awkward details to work around, this one involved careful setting out to ensure every wall and angle was spot-on. Our DEWALT laser always makes setting out easier and more accurate! 📐

We also installed an ECLISSE UK Architectural Door Frame Specialists pocket-door system within one of the walls, creating a neat, space-saving solution that will disappear seamlessly into the finished room.

✨ Staircase Transformation ✨

We recently refurbished this customer’s tired, painted staircase, giving it a fresh and modern oak-and-glass finish.

The project included:

🪵 New solid oak newel posts and handrails
🪵 Stair strings clad with oak-veneered board
✨ Clear glass panels fitted in place of the old spindles
🔨 A completely refreshed, contemporary appearance

All staircase materials were supplied by StairBox

The oak and glass have really opened up the hallway while adding warmth and character. We’re looking forward to seeing the full transformation once the decorating and flooring are complete!

Tomorrow morning at 6am, I’ll be taking on the Alzheimer’s Society Trek26 along the beautiful Jurassic Coast – a challenging 26-mile walk to help raise money for an incredible cause.

The weather isn’t looking too kind either, with heavy rain and winds of up to 45mph forecast, but we’re determined to power through and keep putting one foot in front of the other for everyone affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia.

As many of you know, at Twine Carpenter & Joinery, community means a lot to us, and this is something I’m proud to support. It will be a tough day, but every mile will be worth it if we can help raise awareness and support this fantastic charity.

Another project completed ✔️

Another bespoke install completed by Twine Carpentry & Joinery.

Full kitchen transformation completed 🔥

We removed the old, dated kitchen and completely reworked the space to create a clean, modern finish. The new handleless kitchen gives a sleek, seamless look, paired perfectly with stainless steel splashbacks for a sharp, contemporary edge.

The floor has been upgraded with LVT click flooring, adding both durability and style throughout the room.

We also overhauled the ceiling to install new LED spotlights, then reboarded and fully plastered the entire kitchen for a flawless finish. New skirting and architrave were fitted to tie everything together.

Big thanks to for finishing it off with a full repaint — bringing the whole space to life.

Great to have the next generation of Twine Carpentry on site for the day — never too early to start learning the trade and picking up new skills 👷‍♂️
