Today we’re celebrating a very special milestone as Sue marks 15 years of service with West Mercia.

For the past 15 years, Sue has been an important part of our team, bringing dedication, kindness, and a wealth of experience every single day. Her hard work and commitment have made a real difference, and we’re so grateful to have her as part of the West Mercia family.

To celebrate this fantastic achievement, our Managing Director, Matt, presented Sue with a commemorative plaque along with some gifts as a small thank you for everything she has contributed over the years.

Today we had the honour of celebrating a very special milestone ahead of time — the upcoming 90th birthday of our founder, Roy, who officially turns 90 this Saturday 🎉

Roy’s hard work, dedication, and vision laid the foundations for West Mercia Air Conditioning, and incredibly, he still works 4 days a week… although we do allow him Fridays off! 👏

A great mind and a true gentleman, Roy has helped and guided countless engineers and people over the years with his advice, wisdom, and experience. His knowledge and passion for the industry continue to inspire everyone around him.

Due to the solid foundations Roy built over the years, the company now operates nationwide, so unfortunately we couldn’t bring the whole team together today — but everyone joins in wishing him a very Happy 90th Birthday for Saturday.

Roy is a true legend of the business and, more importantly, someone we are privileged to know and proud to work alongside 🎂🥂

It’s tempting to switch everything off when you head out and let your system “catch up” when you return but that’s not always the most efficient option.

In many cases, it’s better to adjust the temperature slightly rather than turning the system off completely.

🔹 In winter, set your heating a few degrees lower while you’re out

🔹 In summer, set your cooling a few degrees higher
