Our Mobile Cobot Welding System recently visited a customer’s site to demonstrate just how quickly cobot welding can be integrated into a workshop.

In this example, the customer programmed 100% of the welds and settings themselves within just one hour.

Cobot Welding a 2mm thick steel cowl for a customer in our demonstration area. We used Fronius UK PMC welding package with synchro-pulse enabled in an attempt to minimise heat distortion.

This was a great use case for Fronius CMT – Cold Metal Transfer Technology. A highly specific type of droplet detachment minimizes the heat input. The reversing wire electrode movement also reduces the level of spattering.
