You really do see it all in this trade… 🤦‍♂️😂

We were called in to sort out a drainage issue and couldn’t quite believe what we uncovered.

A plant pot had actually been placed over the drainage pipe and packed out with expanding foam! 🪴😳

Everything was stripped back, the drainage connected properly and a new channel drain installed across the doorway.

Sometimes you’ve just got to see it to believe it! 😂

Sometimes, a small structural change makes the biggest difference. 👌

This was a returning customer who got back in touch after we blocked up an old external doorway a few weeks ago.

This time, they wanted to open up the kitchen and dining room to improve the flow through the house. Although we only increased the opening slightly, the extra width either side has completely changed how the two rooms connect.

Another structural alteration completed, left clean and tidy, and ready for the customer to decorate.

A small job that made a big difference. 👌

The original front step had started pulling away from the house due to being built without a suitable foundation, so we removed it and rebuilt it properly from the ground up.

While we were there, we also replaced the cracked and uneven garage entrance with a new reinforced concrete slab, giving the client a much stronger and cleaner finish.

Sometimes it’s the smaller projects that make the biggest improvement to a home.

🏡 Conservatory Removed & Ready for a Modern Transformation

This old conservatory had reached the end of its life, so we carefully removed the existing structure and prepared a new base ready for the team Weruwise to install a modern replacement.

A nice feature on this project was reusing the existing patio slabs for what will become the new internal floor, creating a seamless flow between the inside and outside of the property.

Another project completed in Hastings, and we can’t wait to see the finished result.

6 Years… 💛🖤

A public liability insurance renewal isn’t exactly the most exciting email to receive this morning… But it is a reminder that we’ve now been trading for 6 years.

Looking back, it’s hard to believe how far LA Construction has come. Like any business, there have been plenty of highs and a fair few challenges along the way. The difficult days are often the ones nobody sees, but they’ve all helped shape the company we are today.

To every client who has trusted us with their home, recommended us to family and friends, shared our posts or simply supported us over the years… thank you. Every recommendation, every review and every project has played a part in getting us here.

We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built over the last six years, but it still feels like we’re only just getting started.

Not every day you get to walk a few seconds to work!

Our neighbours wanted to extend their existing patio to create more usable outdoor space for entertaining and relaxing, so we seamlessly matched the new extension into the existing area to give it a clean, finished look.

One of the best parts about working so close to home is getting to see the space being enjoyed every day. It’s great knowing we’ve helped create an area they’ll get plenty of use out of for years to come.

🚧 Another project completed by L A Construction 👌🏼

This client had an old side door that had never been used and wanted to make better use of the space inside.

We carefully removed the existing door and frame before bricking up the external opening using the closest brick match possible to blend seamlessly with the existing property. Internally, the opening was insulated, blockwork installed and finished ready for the client’s decorator.

The end result is a warmer, more secure home with no sign there was ever a doorway there.

It’s not always the biggest projects that make the biggest difference.

Not every project we complete is for a client… this one’s our own home. 🏡

Between customer projects, we’ve been slowly transforming our front garden into a modern, low-maintenance space that looks great all year round.

Sometimes the hardest project to find time for is your own! 😂

We replaced the lawn with decorative stone, installed a large format porcelain pathway, added modern bollard lighting and finished it off with simple planting to create a clean, contemporary entrance that requires very little upkeep.

As builders, it’s nice to put our own ideas into practice, and we’re really pleased with how it’s turned out.
