☀️With the dry conditions we have seen this year, water storage is firmly back on the agenda.

💧The Government has announced that the Water Management Grant will reopen this autumn, with up to £15 million available to support on-farm reservoirs. The aim is to help farmers store water when it’s available and make better use of it during dry periods.

Our loading shovel has been off to have its dual wheel fitted in preparation for a busy summer ahead.

❓Why do we use dual wheels on our loading shovels?

By fitting dual wheels, we widen the machines footprint which makes it much more stable, especially when travelling across uneven ground. The extra width significantly reduces the risk of the machine tipping or rolling over.

They also help spread the weight of the machine over a larger area, reducing ground pressure and causing less damage to fields. This gives better floatation on soft ground, improves traction and reduces wheel spin when conditions aren’t ideal.

✅A fairly simple change, but one that makes a big difference when the season gets underway.
