Way to go Tommy

Tommy McCague from Rathmullen Park in Drogheda has scooped up no fewer than three medals and a world record at the recent World Dwarf Games in Germany.

Tommy won a gold medal in the powerlifting event, and was awarded a second gold medal for the biggest bench press/lift of the day, a massive 140kg, breaking the world record. He then went on to win a bronze medal in the archery competition.

“I’m thrilled to win the medals, but I’m just over the moon to break the world record,” said a delighted Tommy. ‘I’m really proud that I had the best lift of the whole competition.”
