We are delighted to share that our design proposals for the refurbishment and sensitive adaptation of the grade II listed Chapel House Barn, together with its change of use to single residence have received Planning approval and listed building consent by East Herts Council!
The next chapter in the history of this little gem can now begin in earnest – starting from much-needed stabilisation and conservation works to get the building ready for sustainable, low-carbon fabric upgrades and improvements including fully breathable insulation methodologies, new servicing and an extended mezzanine dramatically overlooking the double height space of the historic threshing barn.
The best is yet to come!

We are delighted to have reached completion of the refurbishment of this beautiful home in the heart of the Brockley Conservation Area. And we couldn't be happier with the result! What used to be a dark ground floor characterised by a sequence of rooms with no visual narrative and poor links with the external areas has been transformed into a light-filled suite of spaces that make the best of the new finishes, letting the new glazed doors frame the deep vistas through the new patio towards the rear garden. Collaborative, constructive dialogue with the Conservation Team at Lewisham Council was essential in achieving the vision of a sun-drenched floorplate within the constraints of a significant heritage asset full of history and character.
