After a long, dry summer, many lawns have taken a real battering this year. Dry conditions can leave grass stressed, thin and patchy, with compacted soil, dead grass and layers of thatch preventing new growth from getting the moisture and nutrients it needs.

Welcome to my little slice of paradise.

The kids love our garden and I love that they have the space to be able play whilst I have enough garden to potter with.

I'm not precious about immaculate lawns in my own garden. As long as i have a nice looking, functional garden that I can have friends and family enjoy, then I'm onto a winner as far as I'm concerned.

I don't know what people's perceptions are of what a gardeners garden should look like, but I'm quite proud of how ours have developed over the years ☺️.

BOX CATERPILLAR!!

There has been a surge in these buggers across the N.West this year and I've already seen several box shrubs affected.

Once it gets to a point there is little option but to remove the shrubs entirely ☠️🐛.

There are preventative treatments available but once they are in, it's hard to resolve.

Have a thorough check of your box hedges/shrubs and if there are any signs (webbing similar to spiders web, browning of leaves and actual caterpillars themselves) then action is needed.

We are available for any removals that are needed and can always pop and take a look if you're unsure.
