Digging deep

Works have commenced on this Grade II Listed Bastle house on the Wallington Estate. Works will include breathable lime plaster, storm shutters and a floating staircase in the double height living space

AGRICULTURAL BARN CONVERSIONS >>>>> SLIDE

Doonan Architects created a scheme for a former Northumberland Farm which has been granted planning permission and Listed Building Consent to create five new dwelling houses giving these redundant buildings a future use.

The site is partially situated in Green Belt Land. Class Q, Listed Building and full Planning Permission applications were submitted and our client has now advertised these properties for sale.

We’re making progress on this beautiful family home in Northumberland, sensitively designed and nestled within an Ancient Woodland. The aim has always been to create additional space that feels connected to its surroundings—bringing in natural light, framing the views, and respecting the character of this setting.

It’s exciting to see the structure taking shape while preserving the tranquillity and beauty of this unique environment. More updates to come as the project develops.
