Apprentice Bench Joiner 2023

Langley Furniture Works is a family run specialist cabinet making and joinery firm in the heart of Northumberland. We produce, finish and fit a large variety of products including sliding sash windows, doors and frames, kitchens, staircases, and large outdoor structures. We are looking for an enthusiastic apprentice to join our team of experienced joiners and learn all aspects of Bench Joinery.

The successful applicant will be involved in learning all the stages of production from planning and manufacturing to finishing and fitting. The majority of the work is based in the workshop in Langley, near Hexham. You will be working alongside our committed team of joiners, finishers, fitters and older apprentices to learn the trade first hand.

In addition, you will be enrolled on a Level 2 Carpentry and Joinery course and attend college once week.

The successful applicant will need to be keen, reliable and hardworking and have the ability to cope with the physical demands of the role. The ability to travel to and from Durham College and the Langley Workshop is essential.

Experienced Bench Joiner 2023

Langley Furniture Works is a family run specialist cabinet making and joinery firm in the heart of Northumberland. We produce, finish and fit a large variety of products including sliding sash windows, doors and frames, kitchens, staircases, and large outdoor structures. We are looking for an experienced joiner to join our team and add to the wealth of experience.

The successful applicant will be involved in all the stages of production from planning and manufacturing to finishing and fitting. You will be working alongside our cheerful team of joiners, finishers, fitters and apprentices both in the workshop at Langley and on site throughout Northumberland.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced joiner and have at least an NVQ level 2 and 5 + years’ experience. Candidates need to have a current and full driving licence.
