A fantastic transformation completed in Burbage for a lovely family to enjoy their new space! ✨

This project involved a large rear extension, creating a bright and spacious open-plan kitchen diner, complete with a skylight and bifold doors to maximise natural light.

We also added a utility room and downstairs WC, with oak doors installed throughout the property for a quality finish.

Externally, we completed the landscaping , including garden walls, sleeper planters, and a beige porcelain patio area to both the upper and lower sections of the garden.

There was more to this project in Burbage than first met the eye.

When we arrived on site, the customer had understandably lost confidence after a difficult experience with previous builders. The existing extension had been constructed on slabs without suitable foundations, waste had been left on site, and the customer had been left with a project they couldn’t confidently use.

Our first step was to safely demolish the existing structure, clear and clean the site, and start again properly.

We have now rebuilt the extension to a safe and usable standard, giving the customer a brand-new utility room and downstairs WC they can enjoy with confidence.

Projects like this remind us how important trust, communication, and quality workmanship are throughout the building process. We’re proud to have helped restore some confidence and deliver a result the customer can feel good about.

Next up: decorating and kitchen installation — photos to follow.

(The final three photos show the condition of the project when we first arrived on site. The customer had invested a considerable amount of money before coming to us — a reminder of the importance of carrying out thorough research before appointing a contractor.

Lots of work on this one in barwell completed recently - Lots of walls removed to create large kitchen diner, new oak doors throughout, media wall and moving of doors to living room, new main bathroom and plastering decorating throughout most of the house. Large opening created for new bifold doors. Outside we took a worn looking garden and created a porcelain patio with steps down onto a now level lawn and made some sleeper borders! (Many thanks to Lou and Andy for looking after all our stuff every days with endless drinks and food it goes along way!) o and not forgetting my fav dog Ruffus
