Some great progress on site this week! 👌

Shea and Cain have been battling through the on-and-off showers and getting these stone walls built up nicely.

The main curved wall will eventually be paired with a lovely set of steps, creating access up to the level above. Once finished, the walls and steps will feature natural stone facing with Tumbled Brown Limestone slabbed tops from Markstone Granite to really bring it all together.

It’s already starting to take shape — can’t wait to see the finished result!

Another one completed in Clawton this morning! 👌

This job involved laying new slabs over the top of the existing concrete pathway, along with regulating and re-stoning the driveway using some lovely granite chippings supplied by Tinhay Building Supplies

A great way to freshen up the outside of the property and give the whole area a much tidier finish.

Another local job ticked off and another happy customer!

👀 LOOK AT THESE! 👀

The gabion baskets on our ongoing landscaping project are nearly complete — and they’re really starting to transform the area! 🙌

A great mix of natural character and practical stability, creating a strong retaining feature that fits perfectly into the surroundings.

Just a few finishing touches to go now… we can’t wait to show you the finished project!

A bit of precision tree felling on site on Monday🌳💪

With overhead phone lines to work around, there was no room for error. The tree was safely brought down with complete control, landing exactly where it was planned. Another job done properly! 👌

A huge transformation starts today… and this one’s going to be something special! 👀

Here’s a first look at our latest project for a local customer before a digger even touches the ground.

Over the coming weeks, this area will be completely transformed with stunning natural stone walls, stone-faced steps with slab tops meandering down the hillside, gabion basket retaining walls to support the raised ground above, and a full clearance of the overgrown vegetation to completely reshape the space.

It’s hard to imagine what this area will become from looking at it now, but we can already see the finished vision—and we can’t wait to bring it to life.

A slightly different project completed this week! 🌿

We installed a new overflow pipe and concreted in a headwall to create a simple but effective “leaky dam” on this flood-prone area. Along with a handful of additional works at the same time within the property.

The setup allows the customer to control the overflow level, helping to manage standing water during the winter months while allowing excess water to drain away when needed.

A different type of project for us, but one that’s sure to make a big difference when the winter weather arrives. A pleasure to work in such a stunning location, and we can’t wait to see it doing exactly what it was designed for.

NEW PATIO COMPLETED 👌

Another local project finished and a great result for our customer.

This garden needed a complete overhaul, starting with the removal of the existing patio and a considerable amount of soil. With very limited access to the rear of the property, there was no easy way around it — nearly 16 tonnes of material had to be wheelbarrowed out by hand before being collected by grab lorry.

Once everything was cleared, we adjusted the levels and installed new ACO drainage along with a small soakaway system to properly manage surface water.

We also built a new, larger step into the property, making access much easier and giving a far better finish to the patio area.

For the new paving, the customer chose Light Grey Indian Sandstone, which has completely transformed the space. We finished the patio with a contrasting brick edge along the garden, giving it a really smart, defined finish while leaving everything ready for the new topsoil and lawn.

Plenty of hard work went into this one, especially with the restricted access, but we think the finished result was well worth it.

Quality preparation. Quality materials. Quality finish.

Most importantly, another happy customer who can now enjoy their new outdoor space. 👍

What a difference a day can make… 👀💪

A lot has happened on site today, and this project is already beginning to take shape. It’s always satisfying to see the transformation start to unfold, especially after just one day’s work.

With a full week of sunshine ahead, we’re looking forward to pushing on and bringing this one to life. ☀️

🌿 Now THIS is what you call a garden makeover! 🌿

What started as an overgrown, unmanageable space has been completely transformed into a stunning, low-maintenance garden that’s perfect for BBQ season, all while overlooking the beautiful Dartmoor countryside! 🌄🔥

The best part? Our customer has been away on holiday while we completed the project, so they came home to an incredible surprise!

Here’s how we made it happen:

✅ Cleared thick brambles, overgrown trees, old fencing and years of neglected vegetation.
✅ Excavated and re-levelled the entire area.
✅ Installed new timber sleeper retaining walls and steps.
✅ Built a brand-new fence (big thanks to Luxton Contractors for the fencing! 👏).
✅ Created a new chicken run.
✅ Constructed a raised patio area to make the most of those stunning Dartmoor views.
✅ Added raised planting beds to soften the level changes and showcase the customer’s beautiful selection of plants.
✅ Laid a solid Type 1 (803) sub-base before finishing the whole area with 10mm decorative chippings for a clean, low-maintenance finish.

The transformation from the first photo to the last is unbelievable, and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out! 🙌
