We’ve been hard it again recently with a new extension in Winkleigh, created this extension for the customer to use as a art studio, timber frame with PVC cladding, rubber matted flat roof incuding a 600x600 sky light, they wanted to use the French doors from the house, so we took them out and replaced it with a brand new PVC window from renew in Holsworthy, then built a timber frame and finished it with cladding, the customer also asked for some slabbing outside the doors so got that done as well for them. Good little project and again working along side AT Home Construction and M.p.f plastering and renderingthe plasterer, brilliant guys to have on board. Also the roof done by Matt. Customer is over the moon with it, just a couple little finishing touches and it’s complete. Also put in a 17metre feather edge fence with concrete posts for extra long term durability we done that with , customers are over the moon. Looking forward to going back later in the year to do more work for them on there garden transformation and house.

Well this job was different to all others we’ve done, this was more about helping the customer being able to get up and enjoy his garden, I won’t go into details. But we’ve took the old steps out, made a concrete ramp which wasn’t about looks but more about grip for his wheelchair, new decking with anti slip ramp, another ramp in the middle part to allow more access, nice pad and ramp with steps out the front, again to allow full access for both of them, then to finish new slabs out the front and new floor in the summer house.

This job is more about helping the customers, making it fully wheelchair accessible!!! 15 years they have not been able to enjoy there beautiful garden well now they can.

Also we teamed up with 2 other guys who are amazing at what they do, At home services and FW carpentry. These 2 guys are brilliant and already onto the next project together 😁

More insanely busy weeks again, diary booking up fast,

Here we have been back on the renovations to the flats above Bayley’s cafe in Holsworthy,

With this particular job there is very strict guide lines and codes we have to stick to and follow, fire safety and sound proofing is what we are having to follow to mainly, making this building as safe as possible for future tenants.

So far we have done all drop ceilings to the 3 bedroom, hush slabs, soundproof tape with 2 x 1 battern back across, battened off all the wall to straighten them up, unfortunately this building has no wall is straight. Brand new insulation in all walls, Brand new floor in the 1 bedroom and new T&G boards laid.

We are working along side a brilliant guy called Andy who is amazing and is great to work along side, great to have 2 sides to everything we’re doing.

Many weeks left here and so much more to do.

Well it’s been an extremely busy 4-5weeks and still going, this has been a full renovation of a customers garden.

Started out as over grown grass, 3 x 40ft trees, he had no garden to use at all, we’ve come in, designed it for him, spent time talking over ideas of what he’d like, giving him options and my opinions.

Starting from the ground up (literally) 7 skips of soil before we got down level across the garden, MOT across for the patio, the list goes on,

here’s a brief list of what we’ve done so far:

Full 10m by 5m x 5m retaining wall
6 x 6ft pillars
Full Indian sand stone patio 50 square meters
Full custom made fence slatting
Full custom made gate
Full render
Custom made BBQ pizza oven frame
Full custom pagola

We have been very lucky to work along side a couple of amazing people who have helped us in certain areas, been a massive help and we wouldn’t have been this far on if it wasn’t for them,

Customer then asked for a full new concrete drive, 10m x 11m with the time scale we had it was going to be tight, but we got it done, few things to finish off here and there and some cleaning and painting to do, but this is where we are at so far.

Another crazy busy week in callington, sub base is not down and wacked down, 4 tons all moved by hand as access is an issue, guys have been working hard, concrete in and now starting to lay the blocks for the retaining wall, in this heat we’ve had it’s been a long week for the us all here but we are getting the job done and on schedule.

We’ve also got another job currently ongoing in callington, footings are being dug out ready for concrete next week, then starting to build the retaining wall for the customer, busy week ahead back in the heat, also welcoming a new member of staff coming on board to help out labouring.

Another insanley busy week, fresh new decking boards installed in bude for a lovely couple, the old boards were very rotted out and were very unstable. Also an ikea double wardrobe made for a lovely lady, also installed a very heavy mirror as well, that has now turned into another 2 jobs there with her as well.

Lovely to be back putting up a new fence today, back out in the sun shine, just got to finish the kick board on one side...

Lovely to be back putting up a new fence today, back out in the sun shine, just got to finish the kick board on one side in the morning, had the next door neighbour helping me, worked very well together, kept the coffee flowing which always makes me work faster 🤣 very happy with this fence
