Huge sense of satisfaction with this job carried out in a lovely East Yorkshire village, we got called in by the customer in the cold winter months after the boiler manufacturer had attempted to repair the boiler on numerous occasions and get the heating system up and running, unfortunately they couldn't get anywhere with it and had to inform the customer there was nothing more they could do and they were at a loss the customer would have to get a new boiler, we arranged a meeting with the customer who lived in this lovely large house which most of it was constructed in the 1700s, there were only two occupants in the house a gentleman who cares for his son, after spending some time surveying the property and the customers needs we realised how inefficient the system had been in this 21 room house, one wing of the house was nearly inhabitable with constant low temperatures and high humidity leading to damp because the heating had never worked properly , as well as just installing a new boiler we made a promise to the customer that we would get the whole house working efficiently and make it a healthier place to live, we also had to bear in mind that the boiler was off grid so had to run off LPG which is one of the most expensive fuels to use so we had to get the house running efficiently without costing a fortune to run, safe to say our hard work paid off the day we left it was a miserable rainy spring day, we had managed to get every room in the house within 1 degree of each other even the problematic wing of the house we had managed to get it to a comfortable temperature and the humidity levels were already starting to drop, we had also achieved this by running the heating system at ultra low temperatures which meant low energy use from the boiler which was just ticking along using very little gas and a healthier use of heat from the radiators.
