I’m pleased to have successfully completed the IGEM GL/8 Gas Related Incident Investigation qualification.

This specialist training has strengthened my ability to investigate gas-related incidents methodically, identify root causes, preserve evidence, and produce clear, technically robust reports that stand up to scrutiny. It also reinforces the importance of working to the highest standards of safety, professionalism and industry best practice. (IGEM⁠)

With over 20 years in the gas industry across engineering, leadership and technical management, this qualification adds another layer of expertise that I can offer to clients, insurers, legal professionals and organisations requiring independent technical investigations and expert support.

“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” It’s a phrase we’ve all heard… and for many things, it makes perfect sense.

But when it comes to your boiler, that mindset can be dangerous.

This is what I found during a recent repair. 👇

Another busy week transforming this heating system! 🔥

We installed replaced this failed heating system and installed a new unvented hot water cylinder in the airing cupboard, along with a new Worcester boiler in the loft, giving the customer a modern, efficient, and space-saving heating system.

To ensure the system performs at its best for years to come, we also fitted:
✅ Spirotech air separator (SpiroVent) – continuously removes trapped air and microbubbles, helping to eliminate noisy radiators, reduce corrosion, and improve heating efficiency.
✅ Spirotech dirt separator – captures magnetite sludge and debris before it can damage the boiler, pump, and valves, helping to extend the life of the entire system.
✅ Scale reducer – helps protect the boiler and hot water cylinder from limescale build-up, maintaining efficiency and reducing future maintenance.
