This Stone Grey Shaker kitchen was carefully planned around the owners’ existing AGA and combes classic cabinetry with lots of practical storage.

Pull-out drawers, a magic corner system, concealed waste storage and a bi-fold dresser cabinet all help make better use of the available space. Whilst light quartz worktops, chrome fittings and subtle under-cabinet lighting complete the timeless look.

This is a great example of how traditional style and clever design can work hand in hand.

A well-designed kitchen should make everyday tasks feel easier, without allowing practical features to dominate the room.

Integrated pull-out bins keep waste and recycling neatly hidden but close at hand. Pull-out larders make the full depth of a cabinet easy to access, whilst clever corner solutions help turn awkward spaces into useful storage.

“We had our bedroom completely re fitted by Holmewood interiors and it was an absolute pleasure dealing with them from start to finish. We were given the choice of a couple of options re layout after a home visit. We were invited into the office to view the options on the computer and make choices on colour etc. The fitters were extremely professional. One of the side cabinets had to be moved and we had to have a replacement cupboard door due to manufacturing defect. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We are absolutely thrilled with our new bedroom and can’t rate Holmewood highly enough. Special mention to Gemma who was amazing from start to finish.”

Is open shelving right for you? It can create a lighter, more relaxed feel to a kitchen. But it does not have to look sparse or minimalistic. Sometimes, its appeal lies in creating a space that feels collected, personal and full of character.

In this kitchen, a long open shelf replaces wall cabinets, helping the room feel more open and spacious, whilst providing a home for artwork, ceramics, plants and everyday kitchen items. The result is a warm, expressive space that feels entirely unique.

There’s something lovely about a kitchen that feels calm, but still has plenty of character.

In this design, textured concrete-effect doors are paired with soft neutral cabinetry, white marbled quartz worktops and matt black details for a look that feels modern, practical and quietly refined.

It’s all in the balance: light and dark, soft and industrial, simple and beautifully detailed.

Sometimes, the most useful design changes are the ones that solve more than one problem.

This bay window had become a bit of a dead space and with no clear purpose, it naturally turned into a dumping ground. There was also no heating on this side of the kitchen / diner area.

Our solution was to create a bespoke fitted bench that made better use of the space, adding a beautiful, practical surface, whilst also creating the perfect position for a radiator.

The result is a warmer, more considered space that feels like it was always meant to be there.
