🥇 END OF SEASON PRESENTATION 🥇

On Saturday we had our end of season do & presentation. Few jars up the village to hand out the awards and then headed to Durham. Always nice to get together outside of football and especially pleasing for me to be able to rewards lads with the recognition they deserve.
Awards were;

Player of the season.
Players player.
Managers player.
Most MOTM.
Young player of the season.
Breakthrough.
Most Assist.
Top scorer.
Most improved.


🏆Let’s start with the obvious, clean sweep for Jack Ramsden, morphed in to a holding midfielder by yours truly and what an absolute blinding one he has been this season. Well deserving of every single accolade and truly respected by his peers.
What makes this insane, is Jack has been playing with a complete tear of his ACL, a bakers cyst, medial and lateral meniscus tear, grade 2 MCL injury & 3 or 4 other injuires to the same knee that are too long and difficult to bother trying to explain. Literally played the full season with one leg. Hard to fathom. Puts it in to perspective these pro footballer tarts that are out for 6 months with a broken eyelash.

🏆Top scorer and assist coming from mainly LWB is Morgan Lewins, words have been had, he hates playing there but with numbers like that, I like to think it’s master stroke position change. Unreal season from the young man and been a pleasure watching him mature and his game grow at the same time. Up top next season he says. Who could argue.

🏆Young player was Alfie Whyte, who has battled all season to nail down his spot and when he has played, more often than not been one of the best players on the pitch. Massive year next year for him.

🏆Breakthrough player was James Graham. James came just after the start of the season and he brought something different to the midfield. Youthful energy and fearless attitude was a brilliant addition to the squad and his talent is undeniable. Another lad who is looking at a huge season next year.


🏆Most Improved was Niall ‘The Bull’ Miller. Started this side with an abundance of characters like Niall, but tbh none left now really. Shows up, pays his subs, gets stuck in, chips in with the banter, takes his fair share himself & enjoys every second of being part of the club. He’s contributed with a couple of goals and assists this season and who can forget his ssshhhh moment along the sidelines. Well deserved recognition.

5th season done and dusted. 6th pending ⏳
Started this side when I was 26, young gun. 30s now, looking over me shoulder at 40. Sacrificed a lot, spent a lot, stressed a lot….won f**k all 😂

Would I change out? Would I f**k. Solid side, insane memories & I can carry my head held high that I do it for all the right reasons.

On we go 🟡⚫️🏛️

🏆RICHIE JORDAN SEMI-FINAL🏆

Redhouse 6-0 Penshaw FC

Last game of the season ends in a 6-0 defeat at the hands of one of the best sides in Sunderland.

Turned up with 13 lads, asking a lot as it is, with numbers like that your up against it even more so.

Kudos to the boys who were there, that’s the sort of character I want to see. 6-0 seems a battering and it is tbf, but lads were decent in part, but class showed and legs prevailed from the Redhouse lads. All the best to them in the final.

Once again, no matter the division we find ourselves in, we are one of the sides in the upper bracket of Sunderland Sunday League. Always there or thereabouts and giving a good account of ourselves.

We were dead and buried last summer, rose from the ashes. Looking like a few things could change this summer and it’s a few weeks downtime for lads, rest, chill, they’ve give me everything this season, and I mean f**king everything. Lads playing with one leg, literally.

Penshaw FC 4-2 Sunderland South

Glorious morning to put some cocksure lads to the sword.
Few of their side came to watch us over last couple weeks, being a league above and sitting 6th in Div 1 gives people more confidence than it should. Been told they are going to batter us and we are sh*te.

3-0 up and taking the p**s, took the foot of the gas to give them a chance at getting back in to it.

First goal from Adam Smith, 25 yard effort making the keeper look silly.

Second from Nathan Gudgeon, deserves a goal for his efforts over the past 6 weeks or so, blowing the roof of the net clean off.

3rd from OG Wanderer Adam Smith again, nestling one in the side of the net.

South lads came back 3-2 to make it a little more exciting but the lads kicked back in, found that extra gear again and Granit Jacka wraps it up. Nice finish from the boy, all the sweeter when you take a look at the message he received last week😎
Came to snap legs, got schooled.

Not a man on that opposition side could lace his boots.

FULL-TIME, 4-2.

Cheers to Sunderland South for the game, all the best for the rest of season, 5th is in your sight.

Alfie Whyte 🌟 Close one today between Jack Ramsden and the Young gun but Alfie was absolutely tremendous today. Like I said in an earlier write up, got a few young lads came to us from youth football and thrown straight in to men’s footy, Alfie has grew as a bloke over the time I’ve had him here and it’s a pleasure to watch him improve and get better each week. Like Roberto Carlos today. Fu***ng class.

Credit to plains farm today, ran their socks off and made it as difficult as they could for us.
Our experience and attitude shone through though.

We went 2-0 up over the course of the game, goals from Kyle Herron, a header from a free kick on the left hand side by Morgan Lewins.

Second was a corner whipped in by Sid, deflected effort off Reece McMann, driven in by Arron Wilkinson, some disputes going on over that 😉

A late consolation goal from Plainsy made it a little nervy but we ran out well deserved winners and in to the final we go. 🏆
