Preparing soil for new turf in spring is a great idea! Here are some steps you can follow to get your soil ready:
1. Clear the area: Remove any existing grass, weeds, large stones, and debris from the area where you plan to lay the new turf.
2. Improve soil quality: Add compost or well-rotted manure to improve soil and fertility. This will help the turf establish good strong roots.
3. Till the soil: Loosen the soil to a depth of about 4-6 inches use a rotavater . This will help with root pe*******on and water drainage.
4. Level the soil: Use a rake to level the soil and then use a fine rake. This will ensure an even surface for the turf
5. Watering the turf: Lightly water the soil to settle it and create a moist environment for the turf.
By following these steps, you’ll create a healthy foundation for your new turf to thrive in the spring. Good luck with your gardening project! If you have any other questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask.
