Most household consumer units (fuse boards) now have RCD Protection devices, they are mechanical & in order to keep these life saving devices working correctly, you need to test them every 6 months.
It's really simply, just look for the "T" symbol and press! the switch next to it should pop down, simply pop it back up and test is complete!
If the switch will not reset, please call a electrician, preferably us to have a look!
