We’ve all been working hard making these leaky dams on the moWiddop Reservoir wideGorple Reservoirnt project, which also helps keep the uplands wet, preventing fires spreading so fast, creating habitat and they are lovely to see!

Were breaking off soon for ground nesting bird season but well be back in autumn up at Widdop Reservoir and Gorple Reservoir

Massive thanks to the team for doing such a great job, plenty to do until we’re back on’t moors!

The project is "a modern use for an ancient craft", according to those involved in the scheme.

Haha! it was a great experience being filmed by the BBC, we’ve been at it 2 years now and have a year of the job left after we break off for summer for ground nesting bird season, we’ll be back at in in August

Interesting job here, our client is building a mobile phone mast, it’s on farmland on the north York moors so the compound has to blend in, so we set to building this drystone wall, yes even the bit on the block is drystone, and no I didn’t want to have them there but we stuck to their plan and this is the result! First two days weather was gorgeous, then we got hit by storm after storm- hence the mud.

Stepped wall built in after the neighbours fence above came crashing through the wall! Very happy customer, after the full rebuild was completed. We also replaced the fence post and reset the fence around it. The wall will be topped with flat slabs like the sample piece (shown in pics) once the order is ready.

This lovely enclosure wall building job turned challenging due to the recent storm has got back on track now, we actually had a sunny day today!

Assisting High retainer standing 2.3 metres high, huge gritstone lumps in this one, and a disgruntled hornet 😂

One dayer in Mirfield, repair to a dilapidated wall which had fell into the garden, happy customer who had us back to secure another failing section immediately after!
