Honley village library is now officially open. We are delighted to share the photos of the finished project on the day the library has officially re opened to the public. What a fantastic project and great group of people to work with. We completed the new extension with all associated internal finishing. Also forming a new fully automated entrance hall. The library now has disabled toilet facilities along with a baby changing area. The extension also has a large storage area and a new space for meetings, freeing up space in the main library. Along with the new automated entrance hall, the library is now fit to serve the local community for many many more years to come.

An old leaking balcony got the full service here. Fully stripping everything back. We removed the old paving and bitumen under layer. The walls were dropped and re built with functioning damp trays. Adjoining gable end was re pointed. All masonry was treated with a water repellent. The balcony floor then had a GRP fibreglass finish over it, before the final layer of porcelain tiles sat on a pedestal system to help with drainage.

Demolition, extension, steel frame, walls removed, roof lantern, Juliet balcony. This project had a little bit of everything. Starting with the demolition of a makeshift extension to the back of the garage. This made way to extend the existing kitchen on the ground floor. Then with steel beams we constructed a 1st floor extension which formed a beautifully spacious master suite, taking in the amazing views through the French doors and Juliet balcony.

This was a project we completed a while back, but only just got the finished photos recently. It was a very challenging project logistically and it also had the biggest steel we’ve ever had to fit. However the finished article shows it was all worthwhile.

Although this project isn’t finished, we couldn’t wait to share the progress. We are very proud and thankful of Friends of Honley Library for instructing us to complete the extension to Honley village library. Here’s some snaps of progress so far. 🚨‼️ Job vacancy ‼️🚨

We are currently looking to add an experienced bricklayer to our team. We are ideally looking for someone with experience in general building, extensions or house building and with a driving license. Work includes mainly extensions but everything through to maintenance contracts. Duties include reading drawings to a competent level. Setting buildings and extensions out. Ability to work on your own unsupervised on occasions. Ability to problem solve, show initiative and good time keeping.

The majority of our work is in the Huddersfield area.
