It's that time of year again folks - Jack's haul of Christmas goodies is ready to purchase. He'll be at Honley Village Market tomorrow located at the Village Hall from 10 o'clock onwards. Come and browse his new range, as well as his traditional log snow men and reindeer. He's also booked himself a stall at Cannon Hall Farm Christmas Market on the 23rd Nov so if you can't make it tomorrow, you'll have another chance to grab yourself a unique, hand crafted goodie there. Everything in his range makes a quirky addition to Christmas or an ideal prezzie without braking the bank, and what's more you'll be supporting him on his quest to attend the 26th World Scout Jamboree in Poland in 2027. Jack's been busy again. This time he's made some bird boxes, and it's an ideal time to purchase one with the beginning of the nesting season just around the corner. He's selling them for £15 each, with proceeds once again going to his scout trip to Kandersteg, Switzerland this summer.

As many people know, our son Jack, whose 13, likes to keep himself busy, and throuought the course of this year he's been making these in preparation for Christmas. Each one is slightly different and the ruler is only a rough guide to the sizes.

He's selling the larger snowmen for £15, reindeer for £15, and smaller snowmen for £8, and he's putting the funds towards a Scout trip to Kandersteg in Switzerland next year.

This is very likely the flattest and most level grass we've ever laid: a 5mt x 4mt putting green, which marked the completion of a two-year garden makeover project for Arthur and Doreen.
Naturally, after finishing the installation, we had to test its levelness. I'm happy to report that our turf-laying skills are far better than our putting skills! 🤣

We recently completed a full garden transformation in Honley. Using over 50 sleepers we created a border around the garden along with a raised bed for growing veg. In the centre of the garden we constructed a porcelain slate patio area ready for a pergola. This is a beautiful sitting area which catches the sun all day. Finally we rotivated and levelled the lawn, and then laid new turf. We worked closely with the clients throughout the project making several alterations to the design as it evolved.

Wherever possible we always try to use and support local businesses for supplies. On this project the porcelain flags were supplied by Easypave in Brockholes, and the turf was supplied by Whitakers Turf Supplies Ltd, Huddersfield. Sleepers, sand, cement and other building materials were purchased from JTD Building Supplies of Brockholes, and finally we had a big helping hand from Bulk Group in Pen*stone who brought along a grab wagon to remove that great mound of soil. A big thanks to all our suppliers, and a huge thank you to David & Sarah for trusting us with their garden makeover.
We are very happy with the end result, what do you think? 😃
