Our electrician has been busy lately working on the renovation of Jessop House, a Grade II listed building. Gone are the days when your choice of lighting was what wattage lamp you wanted. We made use of backlighting, downlighting, and strategically located power points for lamps to complement the strong natural light, and create the right mood day and night.

Here are some pictures of the wetroom we recently installed in Jessop House, a Grade II listed building. We also installed a mist sprinkler system as part of the project.

Beneficial Projects recently completed the renovation of Jessop House, a Grade II listed building located in a conservation area.

We believe that small details make a big difference to the pleasure a building brings to its owners. With Jessop House, the use of natural, breathable materials was a key part in keeping with the original character of this historic building, as well as helping to protect it against damp for years to come. A combinaton of natural light, downlighting and backlighting allowed us to highlight the beauty of the natural materials used throughout the home.

Be Yoga Space is a hot yoga studio in Skelmanthorpe, West Yorkshire. The studio is located within a former textile mill. Our brief was to create a studio space that was in keeping with the heritage of the stone building whilst introducing a contemporary feel. We took the brief from concept through to completion:

The environmentally-efficient design includes ground source heating and energy-efficient materials throughout, including fully passive windows. Apartment 37 is a contemporary 2-bedroom apartment located within a traditional mill building in Yorkshire. The brief was to create an energy-efficient contemporary living space that complemented the fabric of the heritage building that hosted it.

We partnered with Orange Design Studio, one of our approved architects, to add a timber-framed first floor extension, with an open plan kitchen and living area, two bedrooms, study and wetroom bathroom.

Near Bank Park is an environmentally-efficient industrial park. We took the project from being an old disused stone yard and transformed it into a state-of-the-art facility that hosts six kilns powered by a combination of biomass and solar power.
