We noticed how much you all enjoyed our last exterior door restoration post, so we’ve put together a collection of some of the doors we’ve worked on over the years 🔨✨

This selection showcases a real mix of projects — from restoring original doors to supplying reclaimed replacements, crafting new frames where needed, and carefully restoring existing ones. Ever wondered what goes into stripping and restoring chairs? Here’s a little look behind the scenes at our process 👇

Once the chairs arrive, they’re carefully placed into our caustic dipping tank. This breaks down layers of old paint and finishes, getting right back to the bare wood.

After that, each piece is thoroughly pressure washed to remove any remaining residue. Then it’s time to let them dry out properly – an important step to make sure the wood is ready for the next stage.

Finally, we sand everything down by hand, bringing the chairs back to a smooth, clean finish and ready for whatever comes next.

🔙 This time last year — London door restoration 🔙
We were called in to restore this stunning Victorian front entrance door in London, and what a transformation it turned out to be.
The original door had been stripped back to bare wood — all that beautiful period detail just waiting to be brought back to life. Our team carefully prepared the surface before applying a deep charcoal finish that really lets the original stained glass panels take centre stage.
Those original leaded stained glass panels — with their rose motifs and rich jewel tones — are simply irreplaceable. Preserving them while giving the entrance a fresh, elegant new look is exactly what this kind of work is all about.
